چکیده

A sampling theorem is developed to reduce integration error in matrix-vector and linear multiplexing processors that perform discrete versions of continuous linear operations. By simply filtering the operation kernel before sampling, one can perform integration-error-free processing on inputs sampled at their Nyquist rate. Example applications to Laplace and Hilbert transformation are presented.

Irregular sampling for multidimensional polar processing of integral transforms

We survey a family of theories that enable to process polar data via integral transforms. We show the relation between irregular sampling and discrete integral transforms, demonstrate the application of irregular (polar) sampling to image processing problems, and derive approximation algorithms that are based on unequally spaced samples. It is based on sampling the Fourier domain. We describe 2...

Irregular Sampling for Multidimensional Polar Processing of Integral Transforms and Prolate Spheroidal Wave Functions

Analyzing physical phenomena using a computer inevitably requires to bridge between the continuous nature of the physical phenomena and the discrete nature of computers. This bridging is known as sampling. The continuous signal is sampled such that it is represented by a discrete set of samples. The sampling scheme used to discretize the signal is often irregular. This may be due to either the ...

Solving a class of nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra integral equations by using two-dimensional triangular orthogonal functions

In this paper, the two-dimensional triangular orthogonal functions (2D-TFs) are applied for solving a class of nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra integral equations. 2D-TFs method transforms these integral equations into a system of linear algebraic equations. The high accuracy of this method is verified through a numerical example and comparison of the results with the other numerical methods.

Initial value problems in linear integral operator equations ∗

For some general linear integral operator equations, we investigate consequent initial value problems by using the theory of reproducing kernels. A new method is proposed which – in particular – generates a new field among initial value problems, linear integral operators, eigenfunctions and values, integral transforms and reproducing kernels. In particular, examples are worked out for the inte...

Solution to time fractional generalized KdV of order 2q+1 and system of space fractional PDEs

Abstract. In this work, it has been shown that the combined use of exponential operators and integral transforms provides a powerful tool to solve time fractional generalized KdV of order 2q+1 and certain fractional PDEs. It is shown that exponential operators are an effective method for solving certain fractional linear equations with non-constant coefficients. It may be concluded that the com...
